Mieke Van Cauter is a mixed media artist who works with various materials and textures. Her work exists at the intersection of abstraction and figuration. A medical procedure in 2016 unexpectedly changed the course of her life. Suddenly, she could no longer use her right hand and arm. With determination and an intensive rehabilitation process, she found her way back to art. Painting became not just a creative outlet but also a source of healing and strength.
