Sergio Lanna - contemporary painter
I was born on January 8, 1963 in Rome where I live with my wife Laura and my two children Leonardo and Alice.
I have a degree in Molecular Biology but I work in the field of railway engineering.
I have always been attracted to everything related to the artistic field (as a child I won a drawing competition at the "Corriere dei Piccoli", I am passionate about drawing, painting, graphics and illustration, music (I have been a member of SIAE since 1988) , photography, writing (in 2017 I won a national noir short story competition) and bricolage (I won numerous prizes offered by the "Bostik" site).
I create three-dimensional graphics models for 3D printing
I started to paint seriously in 1995, almost completely interrupting the activity in 2008, mainly making drawings until 2019 when I definitively resumed the production of oil canvases.
Initially my paintings were mainly of landscapes, some still life and portraits, then reproductions of famous paintings and now I have definitively focused on creating artistic fusions of famous paintings, or reproductions of famous paintings with, more or less evident, changes in style , in the subject, etc ...
In 2020 I won the "Pablo Picasso" competition organized by the "Maison d'Art Academic Center" of Padua with inclusion in the historical archive of fine arts.
I work in the apartment / studio in Rome which was also the studio of the 20th century painter Adriana Daru
