Vittorio De Marchi: signatory and founder of “Arte in Movimento”current, has always operated within plastic-visual research, as belonging to that generation of visual arts that – to quote Sossi - did not know the paintbrush. And in the complex articulation of operations of “New Trends”, and more specifically those relating to the direction in which the subject takes place along the kinetic-visual structure, his subjects, made with material offered by industrial production and solved with intelligence and commendable artisan skill – that is a component of particular interest in this art fact – are located with a considerable clarity. If it is true that the origins of his stylistic problem can be traced back to the rational intentionality of the most valuable examples of contemporary art (in the first attempts of several years ago the link was easy to do), it is also true that today de Marchi, with all the implications, took a different start from the operations suggested by the masters, allowing no more the juxtaposition. To his recent results, that I consider excellent, he has come in stages, based on the structuring of surfaces in specular texture capable of causing visual turmoil, that is, effects that can be valued in the field of psychology. Indeed the fields organized in a system of light reflections cause pulsations, and they realize the structures that react to a minimum displacement of the user by involving the user himself well beyond the aesthetic contemplation. Exceptional insight is the use of the subject works, collaborating with objects and every thing of any common use.
