Basket of flowers

Un giorno un uomo ricco consegnò un cesto di spazzatura a un uomo povero. L’uomo povero gli sorrise e se ne andò col cesto; lo svuotò, lo lavò e lo riempì di fiori bellissimi. Poi ritornò dall’uomo ricco e glielo diede.

L’uomo ricco si stupì e gli disse: «Perché mi hai donato fiori bellissimi se io ti ho dato la spazzatura?».

L’uomo povero rispose: «Ogni persona dà ciò che ha nel cuore».

One day a rich man handed a basket of garbage to a poor man. The poor man smiled at him and left with the basket; he emptied it, washed it and filled it with beautiful flowers. Then he returned to the rich man and gave it to him.

The rich man was amazed and said to him, "Why did you give me beautiful flowers if I gave you garbage?"

The poor man replied, "Every person gives what he has in his heart" ♥️
