Change, this is the universal reflection that the artist exposes on us driven by the certainty that the modification of reality, of one's own thought, of one's being has always been a constant, innate and fundamental part of human experience.

For us, the artist translates this natural attitude into a series of works that unfold through an ongoing project.Manfredi lays on a delicate, soft and luminous support, but marked by wrinkles in its rough texture, a succession of tonal variations that want to represent what life itself is in its infinite shades.

The existence of the artist and his experience are thus assimilated by the experience of color.

Gray (the basic element) is formed by white and black, like the light and shadows that belong innately to human life and nature.There it is in this basic element that the manipulations that bring about the changes take place.

To a precise quantity of white pigment we add 1,2,3 grams of black pigment respectively, obtaining three distinct shades;

then repeat the same procedure but using the black pigment as the base on which to add the grams of white pigment.

The same process is then repeated using the yellow and red pigments.

The constant is that the original element always changes, continuously you are subject to change, even if minimal and this is the only result that is perpetuated.Manfredi inserts a caption at the foot of the works, in which she makes known the measurements of the pigments, and the small cutouts of the works themselves that can be touched.

This makes the viewer an immediate perception of how much the change is evident even if produced by small things, grams of pigment in the works, small actions in human life.
