LA MADONNA DEL RAMARRO – OUR VIRGIN OF THE GREEN LIZARD

I grandi artisti hanno realizzato la Madonna: del cardellino, dell’ermellino, del cane, ecc. Paula si cimenta con Quella del ramarro. Dedicata alla sorella Giulia Riccucci nel momento della sua seconda laurea in Industrial Design. Ragazza che veste i colori della terra, che arriva da un orizzonte lontano e scuro, dalle viscere di Gaia, ma che ha intorno a sé un tunnel di luce che si fa sempre più luminoso e la innalza verso cieli fantasiosi. L’amore per il suo pianeta però, rappresentato dal ramarro che siede nella sua mano ( testimone primordiale), la mantiene stabile sulle sue radici, rendendola così, l’unione tra il cielo e la terra.

All great artists have portraied the Virgin: of the goldfinch, of the ermine, of the dog, etc. Paula tries her hand with Our Virgin of the Green Lizard. Dedicated to her sister Giulia Ricucci at the moment she graduated for the second time, this time in Industrial Design. She is a girl donning the colours of the earth, arriving from a distant and dark horizon, from Gaia’s own womb, but who throws around herself a tunnel of light becoming ever more bright, pushing her up towards the fanciful skies. The love she has for her planet though, represented by the green lizard sitting in the palm of her hand (primordial witness), keeps her stably rooted, making her thus the connection between the sky and the earth.
