"Soccer Ball"... all the works of the last period are called this way, because they all have the same theme... a soccer ball in the alleys of via Santa Maria la bruna in Torre del Greco (NA) (all the paintings have in common, in addition to the soccer ball, the school of my childhood on the right (or on the left), and the houses one behind the other that overlook the street without a sidewalk and go straight towards the sea...

over time the dreams of becoming a champion begin to fade... even the beloved ball begins to deform.. you move towards a harsh reality... you grow up quickly... soccer remains only a beautiful memory.. from the happiness of a shot in the street you move towards a total dependence that you can no longer do without... hooligans, violent cheering, betting, gambling addiction, etc. a malaise that comes from far away... from the edges of the suburbs.. where a shot in the street was enough to be happy.
