With an academic background in contemporary music composition, Alessandro Fatucci approaches painting as a natural extension of gesture, duration, and process. His research focuses on the materiality of color and the physical dynamics of mark-making, working almost exclusively with a palette knife and a deliberately limited, often monochromatic, color palette.

His works explore weight as both a physical and emotional quality. Through forms that oscillate between architecture and overlapping organic blocks, suspended masses, thorns, and curved lines, the artist constructs images that suggest states of tension, stasis, or collapse. These figures are often isolated against neutral backgrounds, existing not as representations, but as presences that seem to hover, press, or crumble.
