Stefano Zamagna - pittore contemporaneo

I was born in 1974 and the first subject that I am passionate to draw repeatedly, is my birthplace.

This is not a magnificent country house but a old farmhouse, I am drawn unexplainably to the deterioration of its yellow outer walls, the obvious cracks, the window shutters of a classic dark green colour now completely deteriorated, the old style tile curve (i coppi), all different in colour and size and a bit broken, they cover the roof but not geometrically correct due to the weight of time - my artistic aesthetics began in my childhood times.

My work, whether it's an oil painting or a collage of materials, takes shape at the end of mental path, which do not necessarily have logic and clear meaning. This mental process can begin with a philosophical reflection, read or conceived by me but likewise can start simply by the pleasure in watching a colour faded by time on the walls of a old cottage in ruins; however, in my mind I see a series of images that make up a path, along with a series of achievement and crystal clear insights, out of which my revelation: the artwork.
