THE ANUNNAKI ARE BACK

"THE BEAUTY WILL SAVE THE WORLD" - the thought of the great Russian writer Fyodor Dostoevsky turned my gaze to the harmony of the Ancient World, because beauty, in its visible and spiritual sense, shines brightest in ancient Egypt, illuminated by the Divine and Cosmic spirit.

This stone relief is an artifact of the ancient Assyria-Babylonian culture. In my interpretation, I tried to give the image a strong feeling that is missing in the stone relief.

In the mythology, the Anunnaki are extraterrestrial beings who visited ancient Egypt and succeeded in taking the primitive out of man, instilling in him a superior intelligence. Thus the DIVINE BEGINNING was entered into the human form. The cosmic spirit and gene have taken over the whole world and therefore the world HAS SURVIVED.

I created the “ANCIENT WORLD” cycle as a contrast to today's anxious, confused, dangerous and unpredictable world, because the lessons of history are being forgotten, and the human errors and self-defeating military aggression of the past are being repeated.
