A beautiful composition that the artist manages in an admirable and hieratic way. It is essentially a work in which "Vattuo" prefigures a dual purpose: that of the woman who prays and that of the mystic of the wood, in a dreamlike setting where the surrounding landscape envelops the central character as if by magic. An option that the artist proposes to the observer to indicate for which of the two scenes he is seized by greater emotion. The two representations are at the same time a source of primary energy and of absolute contemplation.
