This small descendant of dinosaurs is known all over the world. Chameleons have attracted people since ancient times. Many legends and myths have been written about them in the cultures of different peoples. Of course, in these legends, the main ability of lizards is glorified - to change color depending on the surrounding conditions and internal state.

The color of a chameleon depends on its emotional state. And if the color suddenly coincides with the surrounding background, then this is exactly a coincidence, nothing more.

Chameleon skin contains several layers of special cells, so-called chromatophores (from the Greek chgoma - "color", and phegein - "to carry"), each with its own color pigments. Changing the ratio between the layers forces the skin to reflect different types of light, making the chameleon a walking color music.

According to the runes, the chameleon symbolizes protection.

Technique: charcoal on thin white paper (40 gr/mq).
