YEAR 1976 - One of my early works, executed in pencil, charcoal, and sanguine, shows the evolving artistic ferment. It encompasses a bit of everything, from cubism to abstraction and beyond. My figurative background no longer satisfies my desire to explore the artistic fields I studied. You might ask: why detective? Because it stems from the idea that this figure made me think of as synonymous with research, with finding an answer to a jumble of proposals but also chains, grates, and impediments.
