YEAR 1976 - This is a small sketch of the various events that occurred during this year of intense excitement and growing interest in art, and painting in particular. It was also a particularly emotionally and sentimentally charged year, where I experienced the great strength and drive of youth. During that period, I theorized a lot, resulting in works like this one that were spare and almost purely conceptual. Many people at the time urged me to think less and paint more. However, here we are talking about a woman and a man arguing. The attitude is mutually aggressive, domineering, with each thinking only of themselves.
