Description

A special piece from a special year. Things in life have led me to reflect a lot on time and the transience of this existence. This work, like many others, is on treated paper, on which various colors and materials have been used. Life is the consistency of the shadows that often surround us. A sheet of paper becomes a frescoed wall that slowly peels away over time, leaving every trace of what once existed. Even the figure on the threshold of a door is evanescent, between being and non-being, between past and future, in a stalemate that doesn't tell whether it's near an entrance or an exit, and from where or to where, no one can know. A detail worth knowing is that what's on the sheet of paper does indeed gradually peel away if not well preserved.
