Im Schoß der Schöpfung
Description
A woman's pregnant belly, gently rounded and rendered in pure white, forms the centerpiece of my work. The smooth, flawless surface of the belly symbolizes purity, innocence, and the blank slate of new life.
I adorn my sculpture with accents of warm gold leaf to allow life-giving energies to flow through my work. At the center of the belly, the very heart of creation, I let the "Flower of Life" shine in radiant gold. This ancient symbol of sacred geometry embodies for me the fundamental building blocks of life and the universe. It represents the eternal cycle of birth, death, and rebirth and stands for the infinite possibilities that lie dormant in every new life. With my sculpture, I wish to remind us of the profound interconnectedness of all being and the miracle that unfolds at the heart of every new creation.
