Description

The dream of great explorers to open an adventurous for centuries, navigable passage in the Arctic is now a reality. The recent opening of the Northwest Passage in the Northern Canada is one of the most troubling signs of the level which has come the global warming of an industrialized planet. This is associated with uncontrolled marine pollution due to the spill of all kinds of waste that comes to touch even the most uncontaminated environments. In this work I tried to synthesize the appearance of a boundless arctic landscape, without icebergs, but dotted with waste of all kinds which today also anti-Covid masks are added. Mother bear clings to one of these icebergs instinctively. She points muzzle towards an escape route for herself hoping for a better future for baby bear .Will men of the twenty-first century be endowed with the same instinct for self-preservation? The work was made in May 2021 and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. E-mail to contact the painter : [email protected]
