Description

The Tightrope Walker arises from the encounter between an unusual symbol of Trieste and my personal vision of the city. The hippopotamus, inspired by Davide Rivalta's sculpture and suspended in an apparently impossible balance, becomes a metaphor for a city poised between the sea and the Karst, different cultures, memory and future.

Beneath it, real places in Trieste move closer together and are transformed into an emotional geography: not a realistic view, but a landscape shaped by memory and imagination.

This is the essence of my artistic research: starting from reality without simply reproducing it, allowing a place to continue telling its story beyond what we see.
