The opera shows two person who have lost their shape, their soul, their humanity because their living is only to make money, to become rich.

Our social relationships are based on money and financial interests. Money governs our life, we live to work and we do everything to make more money.

We have lost our humanity, our social life, our feelings. Money is our being.

I have more money than you so I am more important, stronger, more ........ useless.
