Strange lands

YEAR 2012- 2012 was a year of mostly conceptual work. Perhaps that's why two paintings emerged that year, expressing a strong need to explore emotions. STRANGE LANDS is one of them. A more explicit return to the dreamlike surrealism (so dear to the artist). It's a mixed media on paper that transports you to an unlikely landscape, a place to lose yourself, to blend in. It's a place of birth and also of destination. Pictorially speaking, it's a work that straddles the line between banal figuration and a verge of abstraction.
