System/Urban perception, 2026
by Egon Prijon
Description
A theatrical encounter between nature and the metropolis in which human movement reveals the attraction, tension and mutual dependence of two environments.
A sophisticated mixed-media work combining theatrical trompe-l'œil, material relief, atmospheric abstraction and figurative movement. Nature and metropolis are presented neither as opposites nor as moral alternatives, but as mutually dependent environments.
The strong urban attraction is expressed through the movement of the crowd, while the central circular aperture and returning trajectories preserve the possibility of balance.
The work offers both immediate visual impact and deeper interpretive possibilities.
