Biography

Daniela Romeo is a contemporary self-taught painter. He was born in Messina on 13 September 1975.

As a child she became passionate about drawing and experimented with various painting techniques, from pastel to oil technique, which is confirmed as the choice of expression of her art in life.

In 1996 he pays homage to the mayor of Messina (Francesco Providenti), with an oil painting representing the Strait of Messina, entitled: The swimmer.

In the following years, the choices of the school path away from art, even if it always remains a constant part of its recreational spaces.

Until 2011, when he actively returned to his passion with a continuous artistic research, coming to combine the real that evolves through his vision and becomes an explosion of shapes and colors.

My name is Daniela Romeo, I am a self-taught painter born in Messina on 13/9/75 and I have lived in Turin for several years.
Since I was a child I have been passionate about drawing by experimenting with different painting techniques from pastel to oil technique, which I cannot give up because it allows me to freely express myself through the softness of the color that blends into the canvas in the most varied shades.
Human figures, images of nature, pets but also abstract ones often recur in my repertoire.

In 1996 I paid homage to the mayor of Messina (Francesco Providenti), with a representative oil painting of the Strait of Messina, entitled: The swimmer.

In the years that followed, the choices of my schooling distanced me from art (Graduated in accounting in 1994), although it has always remained a constant part of my recreational spaces. .

In the summer of 2012 I take part in the "Venetico seafront" event where I successfully engage in commissions related to landscapes, portraits and scenes of various kinds.

In October 2013 I attended the VII edition of the event dedicated to painting and poetry "Arteincentro" held inside the flag hall of the municipality of Messina.

In July 2014 I took part in a collective exhibition of sculpture, painting and photography "Magic of colors at the castle of Spadafora" held inside the characteristic castle of Spadafora.

In December of the same year I am part, together with other artists, of the 6th Edition of the event "Learn art but don't put it aside" for the children of Rwanda, exhibiting paintings and objects created and decorated by myself as an artist .

In 2015 I moved to Turin, where he experiments with new combinations of colors and images.

In 2019 I take part in the Go Art Factory movement which is committed to "bringing art to the people".

On 12 April 2019 participation in the Torino Comics event with various works.

On 9 June 2019 participation in the Art Day event in Nichelino and Exhibition and Competition by
painting with the work "Madame".

From 1st to 12th August 2019 exhibition at the medieval castle of the valentino park on the occasion of the "Contaminations" event.
At the moment I am dedicating myself to a free creation but I am always available for requests for commissions.
