I was born in the province of Florence and my studies were focused on languages (French, English, Spanish, Latin), history and literary subjects.
I have been working as a translator for publishing houses since 1998.
- In 1996-1997, I attended a course of iconography at the Istituto Salesiano in Florence, where I learnt the basis for writing byzantine icons.
- In 2002-2003, I attended a course of oil painting at the Scuola di Pittura Sole Costa in Florence, held by artist Andrea Sole Costa, and I took part in two exhibitions in Florence and in the Florentine province.
- Between 2003 and 2007, I attended the lessons given by artist Margherita Pavesi Mazzoni in her atelier at Montepulciano (SI). Margherita initiated me in pastel painting, in addition to charcoal drawing, tempera painting and the painting of icons on pieces of wood, the so-called "Legni". I participated in two exhibitions organized by Margherita's School at Monticchiello (SI).
Now, I devote myself to pastel painting, especially by using soft pastels, and I am particularly fond of an interpretation of landscapes based on a colour approach.
