I was born in the province of Florence and my studies were focused on languages (French, English, Spanish, Latin), history and literary subjects.
I have been working as a translator for publishing houses since 1998.
- In 1996-1997, I attended a course of iconography at the Istituto Salesiano in Florence, where I learnt the basis for writing byzantine icons.
- In 2001 I attended a course of drawing at an art studio in Florence, and in 2002-2003, I attended courses of oil painting and watercolour painting at the Scuola di Pittura Sole Costa in Florence, held by Argentinian artist Andrea Sole Costa, taking part in two exhibitions in Florence and in the Florentine province.
- Between 2003 and 2007, I attended the lessons given by Lombard artist Margherita Pavesi Mazzoni in her atelier at Montepulciano (SI). Margherita initiated me in pastel painting (oil pastel and soft pastel), in addition to charcoal drawing, tempera painting and the painting of icons on pieces of wood, the so-called "Legni". I participated in two exhibitions organized by Margherita's School at Monticchiello (SI).
Now, I devote myself to pastel painting, especially by using soft pastels (Schmincke, Sennelier, Rembrandt and Jackson's) on Clairefontaine Pastelmat and Canson Mi-Teintes Touch Paper , and I am particularly fond of an interpretation of landscapes based on an impressionist, colour approach.
