Mattia Riccadonna - contemporary painter

Mattia Riccadonna is a painter and draughtsman from Trentino, Italy, born in 1986 and active since 1999. He began drawing at the age of thirteen, taking his first steps with caricatures and comics before turning to painting under the influence of Van Gogh and Sartori. Oil on canvas is his technique of choice, alongside forays into acrylic and, more recently, mixed media.

Between 2002 and 2007 he went through his most intense period, with his first solo and group exhibitions and a number of articles in the local Trentino press. After a pause due to university, work and family, he is painting again today with a freer approach and a deeper exploration of colour. Over more than twenty-five years of activity, he has produced around 70-80 works spanning paintings and drawings.

He lives and works in Comano Terme, in Trentino.
