Cassano d'Adda
Description
In this small 13x18 cm canvas, I wanted to capture the soul and atmosphere of Cassano d'Adda, playing on the contrast between the textured colors and the delicate view. The gaze moves along the riverbank, rising towards the perched village silhouetted against a dramatic, rich sky. To bring this view to life, I combined the versatility of acrylic with the vibrant depth of oil paint: a combination that allowed me to illuminate the warm lights of the architecture and, at the same time, make the intense red of the flowers in the foreground explode. This splash of vivid, almost tactile color acts as a threshold and invites the viewer to enter the landscape, to lose themselves among the greenery of the vegetation and the reflections of the water.
It is a small fragment of Italian beauty, where nature and history merge in a play of silent light and shadow.
