San Benedetto. Storytelling di arte fotografica, dedicato al lavoro manuale. I Monaci Benedettini produssero la BIRRA perché avevano paura che il vino non bastasse per tutti e inoltre avevano cereali di tutti i tipi in particolare il LUPPOLO (cereale apposito per la birra).

I Monaci possedevano vasti patrimoni terrieri, migliorarono le tecniche artigianali e migliorarono i sistemi di coltivazione con:

irrigatori, concimi e cura dei terreni e boschi. L’ARATRO e stato un attrezzo utilissimo (che faceva solchi nella terra lavorata) e usavano gli animali come buoi o cavalli per trainarlo, avevano inoltre perfezionato alcune tecniche lavorative. Come il GIOGO (vecchia tecnica) che consisteva nel mettere dietro al collo di un animale una barra di legno, però era pericolosa perché l’animale poteva respirare male, mentre il nuovo metodo si chiamava BARDATURA che consisteva nel sistemare un collare rigido e imbottito sulle spalle dell’ animale che permetteva di usare tutta la forza e tutto il peso.

Un invenzione molto importante fu la FERRATURA dello ZOCCOLO in cui si prendeva un ferro ricurvo e si inchiodava all’unghia. Un’altra produzione dei Monaci fu il FORMAGGIO per la grande quantità di latte e per il loro metodo di conservazione come la stagionatura e la salatura. Dai monaci abbiamo ricevuto anche altre invenzioni come: il parlamento, il voto segreto (monaci cistercensi),gli orologi , nuovi farmaci , dighe olandesi, un nuovo tipo di ruota, le note musicali ,polder , le fiere, l'apicoltura, la silvicoltura, il corsivo, le marcite , la botanica , la cera , l'inchiostro".
