2023. Intuitive figurative abstract

I started with a pencil sketch of a female face on a paper. I created an moved abstract background on the canvas with modeling paste. I painted the background with spatula and brush. I drew the face with a pencil directly on the background, sealing it with opaque medium so to protect the drawing. With a black and white veil I defined the main features of the face, using bold colors for to highlight eyes and lips.

Canvas dimensions 40x100x3.5 cm. Painted edge.
