Evelina
Description
Here is my next work, titled " Evelina ". It features a new approach from my profile, this time
with a direct, close up view. The focus is almost on a motionless face, which could be described
as frozen in time, combined with a direct gaze that seems to leave only secrets behind. In a way,
this is also the first part of a new phase in my portrait work, where the approach must convey
mystery, as well as a sense of drama and indecisiveness.
I continue to focus primarily on faces rather than details, the viewer's gaze is meant to engage
with the person themselves rather than distract with other elements. This makes it easier for me
to interpret the portrait. Some might say that such a picture reveals everything at first glance,
but in reality, it is quite the opposite, as much can be learned from the gaze, the smile, or the
stillness of the person or figure in the image. This work measures 21.0 x 29.7 cm and was drawn
on paper with pencil.
