Description

"Together" is a deeply moving artwork that tells the story of four women who share a common childhood experience of suffering. The central theme revolves around the pain and courage of having experienced sexual violence in childhood and later seeking the difficult path of justice.

The artwork's wooden frame bears the handprints of the four women, a symbol of their shared strength and determination to bring their abuser to justice. This depiction is surrounded by Justitia, symbolizing justice, yet framed by darkness, represented by three black lions with red tongues, symbolizing local jurisdiction.

Although the perpetrator was found guilty on 129 counts and 2 counts of aggravated sexual assault, his sentence was suspended, creating a monument to unfulfilled justice.
