Description

Interpretation of a subject made famous by the artist Giovanni Fattori. Here the artist pays homage to a great master of the past with references to the painting of the "macchia", a preamble to a personal painting in which Franco Volpi shows his own style, even in the spirit of the work itself. The theme of the horse, dear to the artist, is tackled with great lucidity and creative wisdom. The horse is also one of his favourite animals to represent in painting, a symbol par excellence of freedom.
