Inspired by a traditional Ukrainian folk song, this piece tells the story of a girl named Marichka who lives high in the Carpathian Mountains. Layers of texture, color, and emotion echo the melody of the son - each small painting within the frame a memory, a whisper of autumn woods, and a path that leads back to her.

Natural materials, textured pastes, and thread weave together the folklore and landscape of Ukraine. Just like the song, it’s about longing, love, and the unshakable spirit of the mountains.
