Where are our dreams?

The ‘Escape’ series is one of the two series related to the Pandemic.

Each one of us has been affected in one way or another. Uncertainty is the word that is often related to such difficult times. 

We used to have dreams. We used to make plans for the future. All of a sudden dreams and plans were destroyed. We couldn’t dream anymore. We couldn’t sleep either, because our mind was full of thoughts and worries about the future. 

We were forced to learn to live in the present, a big challenge for our ego and our minds.

The colour at the center of the painting is poured and ‘escapes’ in all possible directions. Gold recalls ‘gold dreams’, a way of saying good night in many languages.
