Donna Sharon is the cover and emblematic piece of the exhibition Women from Behind – Backs, Lives and Colors, a project that began in 2023 at the invitation of the Municipality during the opening of Franca Dariol’s solo show Abstract-Material Symphony and Poetry.

In 2024, to mark International Women’s Day, Franca unveiled this remarkable collection of works celebrating contemporary and local femininity. Here, the female back becomes an archetype: a symbolic trunk, a strong column, a visual metaphor for the life and inner strength of women.

Each canvas tells a story—of presence, identity, emotion. Through posture, neck, shoulders, subtle clues emerge about the character of each woman. With painterly intuition, Franca crafts atmospheres suspended between the abstract and the metaphysical, favoring emotion and aesthetic exploration over perfection. Sometimes, expressive details like tattoos appear, revealing personal stories and individuality.

Every painting is accompanied by a short, intuitive text, enhancing the emotional and artistic dialogue between the viewer and the artwork.
