Dalmazio Ambrosioni

 Dalmazio Ambrosioni

The Centrum Gallery in Chiasso is carefully setting up a personal exhibition by Mario Fanconi, an artist with a copious production who plays a particular role in the Ticino art scene. For Fanconi it is not the first solo exhibition, considering the exhibition held in 1975 at the "Galleria al Ponte "of Ponte Tresa and that of 1979 to the + Banca Unione di Credito". ' followed by the exhibition in 1990 * Boutique Cristina "in Lugano.

His journey towards painting began early, at sixteen, leading him to reach that expressive intensity and maturity, which we can admire today in the paintings exhibited at the Centrum ART Gallery.

A journey that has been carried out in stages, interrupted by commercial activity, but never abandoned and finally, finally, to be traveled full time in the last few years, realizing a dream long kept in the drawer, Self-taught, as he defines himself, and without the hassle of having to follow a precise line and therefore tackle a main theme, Fanconi offers us numerous and varied images.

From magnificent floral bouquets, to landscapes, from female faces to animals, from playful children, to the drama of the

social plagues such as drugs, hunger and war.

But in all its expressions there is never exasperation, not even in the most painful and distressing situations - mediated as it is by constant chromatic research which thus becomes the reassuring link between the reality that surrounds us and the sensations of the painter.

A generous art therefore, which constantly testifies to the pleasure of painting, united in a happy union with the joie de vivre of the Ticino artist.

The meaning of the painting is therefore to be found in its innate confidentiality, and in its jovial expressive freshness which are renewed in the individual paintings "Polluzione" Airone Azzurro "" La Sposa "," Paura ", Quisquilie", are just a few examples among numerous pieces that make up this vision and interpretation of art based on dialectics, light and color.

Some subjects repeat themselves; flowers and landscapes are painted infinite times, but the replica is not synonymous with monotony, rather with the invention of a play of colors, harmonics with warm and full-bodied tones, with a variety of views that alternate on the canvas.

Shaped by the various techniques and by the not exasperated formal experimentations, his paintings are to be appreciated for the message they transmit to us.

A calm, never aggressive or violent message of relaxed and silent images that can carve out a corner of peace in a society that has made violence and vulgarity its flags.

The exhibition at the Centrum Gallery inaugurated on 12 November, will remain open to the public from Monday to Friday from 8.00 to 19.00 in via comacini in Chiasso.
